Alan I. Blass, CPA, CFE, who founded AIB, has over 35 years of experience in Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support. Early in his career, Mr. Blass served as the Deputy Chief Investigative Audior for the New York City Department of Investigation, co-ordinating criminal investigations involving corrupt politicians, employees and contractors. He earned the New York City – Department of Investigation Outstanding Sustained Performance Award.
Alan is is currently serving as the President of the Palm Beach Couny Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, a Chapter which he initiated in 2020.
He has previously served as the President of the South Florida (Miami) and New York City Chapters of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He has also served several years as the Chairman of the Board in New York Ciy.
Alan has spent the last 20 years in the private sector, including time with Kroll Associates and other prominent consulting groups, performing complex corporate and Governmental financial investigations and litigation support services involving a myraid of industries and types of businesses. He has qualified as an Expert witness at both depositions and trials in criminal and civil court.
Alan has lectured on numerous topics including, Financial Statement Fraud, Corporate Veil Piercing, Construction Disputes and Matrimonial Litigation before legal, accounting, business and Governmental organizations. He has published atricles for the New York Law Journal on topics such as “To Find a Fraud Find A Frauditor” and “Ten Common Errors in Business Valuations”.
He has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1988 and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) since 1992.
